These skin lesions are medically harmless and noncontagious, but are often considered bothersome, either for aesthetic reasons or because they rub against clothing and jewelry. <\/p><p><strong>Important to know:<\/strong> A so-called \u201csoft fibroma\u201d is not a true <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hautarzt-markovic.de\/en\/service\/warts\/\">wart<\/a> (which is caused by a virus), but rather a simple overgrowth of connective tissue.<\/p><p>In general, skin tags can appear almost anywhere on the body. They are particularly common in skin folds or in areas subject to friction: <\/p><ul><li><strong>Face &amp; Eyelids:<\/strong> Skin tags in these areas can often be a cosmetic nuisance in everyday life or when applying makeup.
