PRP for Hair Loss in Frankfurt
PRP therapy (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is an innovative autologous blood therapy for the gentle treatment of hair loss. At our practice in Frankfurt, we draw a small amount of blood (approx. 10 ml) from a vein for this procedure. Through a special centrifugation and filtration process, we obtain a highly concentrated platelet preparation that is rich in the body’s own growth factors (such as VEGF, EGF, and FGF).
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), derived from the patient’s own blood, is injected directly into the affected areas of the scalp. The growth factors and signaling molecules it contains can stimulate regenerative processes around the hair follicles, support the activity of follicular cells, and promote the formation of new blood vessels. Clinical studies indicate increased blood flow to the scalp, as well as an increase in hair density and thickness.
Since the patient’s own plasma is used, there is no risk of allergic or immunological reactions. The treatment is suitable for both women and men.
