Digital skin cancer screening

In our practice we offer digital skin cancer screening. We thoroughly examine you from head to toe. Suspicious areas are also examined with a so-called reflected light microscope (dermatoscope).

This instrument magnifies the skin changes 10x and enables individual structures that cannot be seen with blunt eye. In case of birthmarks, poor characteristics such as the inhomogeneity of the pigment network, gray- blueish or whitish discoloration, pigment inclusions or asymmetries can be assessed more clearly.

Suspect birthmarks are also recorded using digital photography, analyzed by computer software (risk analysis) and stored in the computer. The PC software also helps for better control, especially when it comes to whether the mole has changed over a certain period of time.

For people with private health insurance, the above-mentioned examination including dermoscopy, risk analysis as well as photography will be covered by their insurance.

A risk analysis is also carried out using Nevisense©. In this way, skin cancer can be detected at an early stage and safely removed.
