Frau Dr. Julia Braun kann ich wirklich nur von Herzen empfehlen! Ich habe mich vom ersten Moment an sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Sie nimmt sich unglaublich viel Zeit, berät klar, ehrlich und transparent und führt jede Behandlung sehr sorgfältig und professionell durch. Man braucht bei ihr wirklich überhaupt keine Angst zu haben, weil sie sehr einfühlsam ist und jeden Schritt genau erklärt.

Ich habe mehrere Stellen im Gesicht lasern lassen und bin von den Ergebnissen absolut begeistert. Die Behandlungen waren schmerzlos, die Haut ist sehr schnell abgeheilt und das Ergebnis ist einfach großartig. Am liebsten würde ich mich dort am ganzen Körper lasern lassen! Auch eine Talgdrüse habe ich mir entfernen lassen und die Stelle verheilt wirklich hervorragend.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich auch ihren Assistenten. Er ist unglaublich lieb, ruhig und erklärt alles ganz genau, sodass man sich jederzeit sicher und gut betreut fühlt. Auch das gesamte Team an der Rezeption ist super herzlich, süß und freundlich. Man wird in dieser Praxis wirklich von allen sehr liebevoll behandelt.

Die Organisation ist ebenfalls hervorragend: Die Terminierung funktioniert problemlos, man wird mehrfach per E-Mail erinnert und kann Termine ganz bequem über Doctolib buchen. Die Praxis ist außerdem sehr gut erreichbar und liegt direkt am Schweizer Platz.

Ich habe zudem tolle Produktempfehlungen und Cremes erhalten, die meiner Haut unglaublich guttun und die ich mir mittlerweile sogar nachgekauft habe. Mein Gesicht sieht so frisch und erholt aus, als wäre ich wieder Anfang 20 – und dabei bin ich 34!

Auch für natürliches Botox ist Frau Dr. Julia Braun für mich die absolute Top-Adresse in Frankfurt. Das Ergebnis sieht frisch, schön und natürlich aus, ohne dass das Gesicht starr wirkt. Die Mimik bleibt erhalten und niemand sieht, dass etwas gemacht wurde.

What is an allergy?

Allergy is an overreaction of the immune system to a substance with which the skin or mucous membrane has come into contact.

The skin often shows varying degrees of redness and itching. In rare cases, an exaggerated anaphylactic reaction may occur.

The good news first: allergies are treatable. Symptomatically in the acute phase, but also therapeutically through hyposensitization. This can prevent the progression of an allergy, e.g. to bronchial asthma, or improve allergy-related skin changes.

The most common forms of allergy include:

Pollen (hay fever)
House dust (mites)
Drug allergy
Contact allergies
Food allergies
Insect venom allergy
Allergic urticaria

What types of allergy are there?

Type I- immediate type reaction

This results in immediate redness and itching or anaphylactic shock. This usually occurs after the patient has already been sensitized to an allergen, i.e. has already come into contact with it.

Type III reaction - formation of immune complexes

Certain allergenic substances, such as medication or infections, lead to the formation of so-called immune complexes. Antibodies bind to each other and are deposited in the vessel walls (usually on the legs). A complicated inflammatory reaction causes hemorrhages (petechiae/ecchymoses) of varying sizes (vasculitis).

Type IV reaction

The patient is sensitized to a specific substance. If the patient comes into renewed contact with the substance to which he was already sensitized, so-called T-lymphocytes are released into the skin. This reaction causes contact eczema, e.g. on the hands.

It is often possible to achieve an improvement in symptoms simply by avoiding specific allergens (allergy avoidance).

Occasionally, in the case of type I reactions, short-term drug treatment with antihistamines (relieves itching), preparations containing cortisone, or – for long-term freedom from symptoms – even hyposensitization (desensitization) may be indicated.

Desensitization slowly accustoms the immune system to the trigger over a long period of time. Hyposensitization (also known as allergy vaccination or specific immunotherapy) is a form of therapy that can be used to treat overreactions of the immune system.

What about food allergies?

Many patients suspect a food allergy behind skin changes and allergic symptoms. However, this is rarely the case in everyday life. In this case, one can often assume an intolerance that cannot be detected in the allergological tests. Food allergies occur primarily in childhood and mostly in the first few years of life. The most common allergies are cow’s milk, hen’s egg and nut allergies. However, cow’s milk and hen’s egg allergies in particular also have a high tolerance development, which is why both substances can be tolerated without problems by formerly allergic children after 1-2 years of life, despite the allergy. This does not apply to nut allergies, which can cause severe allergic reactions.
